At the end of the day, this Thursday, the firefighters of Haute-Garonne including those of the barracks of Rieumes, Saint-Lys, Muret and Massat were mobilized for a major fire in the town of Beaufort in the south- west of Toulouse. The alert is given around 5 p.m. On site, the firefighters discovered a major blaze ravaging this house of nearly 200m2. Several outbreaks of fire were responsible for making the rescue task more difficult.
The intervention required nearly twenty firefighters. More than two hours after the start of the intervention, it was still in progress at the start of the evening. A first focus was extinguished but the others are in the process of being extinguished. Two fire hoses were deployed to control the secondary outbreaks. So far, no injuries have been reported. It is also impossible to determine precisely the origin of the fire. Investigations will be necessary to find out more about the reasons for this violent house fire.
