BrusselsA person was hit by a train at Brussels Central station on Wednesday evening. This is confirmed by the fire brigade and Infrabel. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition. Train traffic on the line is disrupted.
The accident happened at 8.50 pm on platform 3 in the Brussels Central train station. It involved a train that was traveling from Brussels-South in the direction of Amsterdam. Fire and emergency services rushed to the scene. “All six tracks were out of service for a while,” says Thomas Baeken, spokesman for Infrabel. “The train was still on the platform with three carriages.
