Tomatis (FdI): “The health care of the west has been forgotten by Toti. For Genoa, large investments, only crumbs in Albenga”
Albenga. “The health of the west forgotten by the Region. Big investments for Genoa, while only crumbs for Albenga”. This is the accusation of the group leader of Fratelli d’Italia Roberto Tomatis who once again highlights “the gaps in the health services dedicated to the Ingauno district”.
“The Region – he continues – is betting everything on the Ligurian capital with important financial resources: we are talking about 405 million euros for a 520-bed hospital that will affect the Erzelli hill. By now it is certain that Albenga with its 220 beds has been dismantled with an operation that started from far away with the suppression of all departments and the closure of the emergency room. All this to transform the Santa Maria di Misericordia into a community home run by nurses”.
“We believe – underlines Tomatis forcefully – that this project is supported not by the technique and by the real need for a new hospital in Genoa, but to bring new electoral sap for future elections. In fact, the Liguria Region is investing 405 million which will yield a good result of consensus for the governor of the Region. All this while our territory is expendable by virtue of the electoral numbers that can correspond according to the resident inhabitants “.
Roberto Tomatis therefore asks all the political forces that represent the Region “to immediately stop the operation which represents a mere ‘health disaster’ where investments are not made by virtue of real needs but according to less noble needs”.
