“in one match, Toulouse will make a recipe equivalent to that of all our home matches”, reveals the president of Castres
Friday evening (9 p.m.), on the occasion of the 13e day of the Top 14, Castres Olympique travels to Toulouse for a meeting relocated to the Stadium. Which will be sold out since the 32,000 seats have been sold, Stade Toulousain chaining sold-out windows this season.
The president of the Tarn club, Pierre-Yves Revol, commented on the CO website on the consequences of this derby. “We are very honored that Stade Toulousain welcomes us to the Stadium. This means that he considers that this match can be attractive for the public and moreover, in a match at the Stadium, Toulouse will undoubtedly make a recipe equivalent to that of all our matches of the season at Castres. But the simple fact of playing a gala match at the Stadium satisfies us because it means that, in this Top 14 which is becoming more and more that of the big cities, we still manage to occupy our place and bring a little diversity or ‘originality.»
He concedes, however, that the CO arrives without great ambition. “If we talk about a sporting objective, this trip is not a priority for us. We have only taken one point away from home this season and it would be very pretentious to want to increase our capital points at the stadium. Our real short-term objective is to remain undefeated at Castres again this year and therefore the reception of Racing 92 the following weekend.»
