A survey commissioned by Junts to the polling company GAPS gives the electoral victory in Barcelona to Xavier Trias, who would obtain between 10 and 12 councilors. According to the forecast, the ex-mayor’s candidacy would be ahead of the formation of Ada Colau, who would get between 9 and 10.
The survey was made between September 2 and 10, three months before Trias announced that he will stand in the elections. The sample is based on 803 interviews with citizens of Barcelona over 18 years of age and draws adjusted electoral results, with the PSC and ERC tied for third place with between 8 and 10 councilors.
The Junts survey, to which Efe has had access, predicts between two and three councilors for the PP and between zero and two for Vox. It does not give entry to the town hall or to the CUP or Ciudadanos.

With a margin of error admitted by the demoscopic company of 3.53%, the survey places the cleanliness (24.9%), insecurity (23.9%) and mobility (7.9%) as the main problems of Barcelona highlighted by the interviewees. Likewise, he places Junts voters as those who most demand a change in the municipal government.
In the Junts survey, Trias appears as the preferred candidate for 22.3% of those surveyed, followed by Ada Colau (14.7%), Ernest Maragall (9.7%) and Jaume Collboni (9%). The former mayor has already announced that ‘number two’ on his list will be Neus Munté and number three, Jordi Martí.
