The Socialist Party announced that it would go to court over the closure of the TV channels.

They make a sacrifice out of us. We are waiting for them to come for us. And they will come. But we will not be silent.”

I’m sorry that we ended up like in the times of Stalin and Ceausescu (Nicolae Ceausescu – the last leader of the faction of the times of socialism, shot during the 1989 revolution. – “NG”), when the intelligentsia, which has to say that fellow citizens, have their mouths closed.
The former chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova, Victor Puskas, spoke out against the decision to close the TV channels. He wrote on social media: “I was not surprised to receive an emergency commission because some leaders said they are setting the “good times” by unconventional methods … that is, the diplomatic Constitution and current legislation. Thus, I began to recall the identification of the “father of peoples” … Unfortunately, many condemned Bolshevism, Nism, totalitarianism, etc., but there were no injections against neo-Bolshevism, neo-Stalinism, neo-totalitarianism.
The political analyst of Expert Grup, Dionis Cenusha, comments on the events in Moldova in the European media in the following way: “The authorities took advantage of the state of emergency to suspend the license of six troubled TV channels. The justification for the excitement does not inspire confidence, since the last last PAS (the ruling party. – “NG”) adopted the Broadcasting Code, which allows you to fight disinformation with harsh tools. PAS used the EU sanctions to justify the coverage of some TV channels associated with Shor (Ilan Shor is an opposition politician, a deputy who organizes protests in the country. – NG “), pro-Russian forces and socialists for an indefinite period. Although this allows for an effective fight against Russian disinformation.”
Deputy of the Parliament of Moldova from the faction of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists Adela Raileanu of the government from the authorities, the Commission on Emergency Situations, which suspended the broadcasting license of six TV channels, the facts and exceptions that legally form the basis of the document. The deputy said that she had studied all the decisions of the Council on Television and Radio over the past six months and had not met a single meeting officially appointed in relation to this TV channel for “misinformation about the dissemination of false information.”
At the same time, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, wrote on social networks: “The decision is based on the meeting of the Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting in relation to TV channels, the meetings of which are not properly informed and understood about the events in the country, as well as about the military operation launched against Ukraine.” She noted that this decision is “a priority national information space and the prevention of disinformation.” The head of the accidental accident investigation, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa, also noted that the decision was made “on the basis of the protocols of the Broadcasting Commission on the violation of the Code of Audiovisual Services, including after consideration for the lack of corrective information on world events in the country, as well as a dispute in Ukraine”.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Grosu, noted that in the Republic of Moldova there are TV channels “which brainwash people, promote hatred and civil disobedience and the official actions of Russian state bodies in Ukraine.”
Recall, on Friday it became known that the representatives are deprived of TV6, Orhei TV, Primul in Moldova, Accent TV, NTV in Moldova and RTR in Moldova. On Monday had to face the danger in force.
But the bans are likely to affect not only TV channels broadcasting in Russian. Maia Sandu, on the air of one of the TV channels, said that concerts in Moldovan cities, where children performed Soviet songs in Soviet uniforms, should be investigated by the Information and Security Service for risks to the country’s security.
Alexei Petrovich, Chairman of the Pobeda Coordinating Committee, explained: “TVR Moldova broadcast a report entitled “Moscow continues to finance elements of Soviet propaganda.” The authors of the story were outraged by the holding of a concert in Balti, where children sang “Katyusha” and danced in military uniform.
