In the previous report, there were 88 tests of this type, of which 3 were positive, i.e. 3.4 percent.
Total confirmed cases are 1,290,186. 3,770,847 PCR and 7,099,942 antigen tests were performed (a total of 10,870,789)with the average percentage of positive samples since the beginning of the pandemic being 11.86 percent – unchanged on a daily basis.
Active cases are decreasing and there are already 3959, which is 466 less than the previous report. According to an expert, the huge drop in early July, when active infections fell by about 90,000 in two weeks, is explained by the fact that there have been many unreported recoveries in the past two years and especially during the peaks of the previous waves, when the regional RHIs were extremely busy, due to which the real numbers are not taken into account, and now this indicator is being corrected.
There is also a slight decrease in the number of hospitalized persons, as they are 384 – with 1 less (6 were hospitalized, 7 were discharged). For comparison, during the worst days of the pandemic in October last year, more than 7,200 patients were treated in hospitals. The number of patients admitted to intensive care units is 30 – no change on a daily basis. Exactly occupancy of intensive care beds is one of the main criteria for tightening the measures in our country, and not, as before, the number of infected persons or active cases.

In this regard, the Unified Information Portal presents data on the occupancy of intensive care beds in the five clusters. After about two months in the green zone, the whole of Bulgaria passed in about two weeks to Stage 0. The whole country is in Stage 0 – blue zone. Due to the reduction of workload in intensive sectors, from March 21 the green certificate has dropped completely. And with the arrival of the fifth official cabinet, appointed by Rumen Radev, it became clearthat every week an expert council will report the most important data and decide if and what measures will be taken.
511 people have settled at last count and their total number it is now 1,248,145. For the last 24 hours, 1 death has been reported. Thus, the number of those who lost the battle with the virus in Bulgaria remains 38,082.
A total of 26,270 medical personnel are among the official cases of coronavirus, which means that there are no new ones for 24 hours. 977 people are under quarantine, noting that they are 2982 less than the currently active cases.
