And 82! After the cartridge market in November, a new open-air market will see the light of day in another rapidly developing district of Toulouse.
Friday, December 16, 2022, the city council of Toulouse recorded the creation of an outdoor market a Montaudran.
Opening in March 2023
This open-air market will be installed Place Marcel Bouilloux-Lafont “in order to compete with the commercial offer already present and to consolidate the dynamic with a nascent commercial centrality”, indicates the City.
This market, which will open in March 2023, will be “presented food”. It will welcome about fifteen traders every Sunday morning, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Montaudran is a booming district since many years in Toulouse and this development will continue over the next few years with the construction of new housing.
There is no doubt that this market will bring some activity to this district which needs it despite the locomotive that constitutes Machine Hall. Indeed, in recent months, concern has been expressed among some traders located on the Piste des Géants.
Traders waiting for entertainment
For many of them, without even waiting for the arrival of the 3rd metro line promised for the end of 2028, the situation turned out to be critical this summer…
Over the next few months and years, the district must accommodate several facilities: Capitol Theater Workshops will be grouped together in a brand new building of 9,850 m² in 2023, the GA Smart Building group will move its head office and settle in a new building of 6,000 m2.
