in Tuscany 1,266 new cases and 2 deaths, both in Florence
There are 1,266 new cases of Covid-19 registered in the last twenty-four hours in Tuscany: 267 have been confirmed with a molecular swab and the other 999 with a rapid test.
The number of infected people detected in the region since the beginning of the pandemic therefore rises to 1,553,148. New cases are 0.1% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 0.1% (1,409 people) and reach 1,468,160 (94.5% of total cases).
At the moment, therefore, there are 73,715 positives in Tuscany, -0.2% compared to yesterday. Of these, 569 (14 fewer than yesterday) are hospitalized: 22 (2 more) are in intensive care.
Since the last daily bulletin, 850 molecular swabs and 6,947 rapid antigenic swabs have been performed: of these, 16.2% were positive. On the other hand, 1,445 subjects were tested, excluding control swabs: 87.6% of these were positive.
The trend by province
With the latest cases, the positives since the beginning of the emergency in the municipalities of the metropolitan city of Florence rise to 417,451 (265 more than yesterday), 101,883 in the province of Prato (55 more), 121,342 in Pistoia (89 more) , 80,650 in Massa Carrara (103 more), 169,227 in Lucca (154 more), 181,149 in Pisa (150 more), 142,542 in Livorno (165 more), 140,027 in Arezzo (117 more), 110,974 in Siena (86 more) and 86,782 in Grosseto (79 more). To these must be added 569 cases of positivity notified in Tuscany but which concern residents in other regions.
Tuscany has around 42,058 total cases per 100,000 inhabitants since the beginning of the pandemic (between residents and non-residents). At the moment, the notification province with the highest rate is Lucca (with 44,074 cases per 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Pisa (43,339) and Livorno (43,326). The lowest concentration is found in Prato (with a rate of 38,407).
73,146 are in isolation at home, because they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free (131 fewer than yesterday, minus 0.2%). The 1,468,160 healed registered to date are in all respects, from a viral point of view, certified with a negative swab.

The list of deaths is updated with 2 new deaths: 2 men, with an average age of 80.5 years. With regard to the province of residence, the deceased are in Florence.
11,273 have died since the beginning of the epidemic: 3,579 in the metropolitan city of Florence, 913 in the province of Prato, 1,006 in Pistoia, 711 in Massa Carrara, 1,059 in Lucca, 1,266 in Pisa, 845 in Livorno, 719 in Arezzo, 603 in Siena, 410 in Grosseto. Vanno added 162 people who died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
The crude mortality rate for Covid-19 (number of deceased/resident population) is currently 305.3 per 100,000 residents. As far as the provinces are concerned, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (374.5 for every 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Florence (358.5 x100,000) and Pistoia (346.6 x100,000), while the lowest is in Grosseto (188.2×100,000).
