Drug contraband has legal repercussions
The corruption of Slovak politics is also mentioned in the case.
The biggest drug contraband in the history of Slovakia is going to court. Almost two billion euros worth of methamphetamine was seized in Nitra more than two years ago. In Slovakia, a Dutch citizen is being tried for this. A fugitive Mexican cartel member is also involved in the white death trade. The case also mentions the corruption of Slovak politics and customs officials.
The smugglers hid almost one and a half tons of drugs in two iron pontoons. The contraband started from Mexico and the destination was Australia. The shipment passed through our country without any problems, but the meth got stuck in Nitra.
“The NAKA investigator accused two members of an international organized group operating in several territories. They supplied and sold drugs in various states of the European Union,” stated the Police Force two years ago. One of the Dutch confessed and received a nine-year sentence last April. He is behind bars in his country. His accomplice is also being tried in Slovakia.

Encrypted communication
The smugglers communicated with each other through the Encrochat encrypted application specially created for the mafia. Europol broke it and their transcripts are being read in court. In it, the gang members also talked about who and how much they paid so that the drugs from Slovakia continued.
The smugglers were very keen to get the meth into Australia as soon as possible. There, they would earn almost two billion euros on the black market. Both iron pontoons stood in Nitra for a week.
“Deaf and bald say they are negotiating with a government guy and will hear what his price and terms are. He is very high up in the government. Offer two million euros after delivery in stock in Australia.” o was written in an excerpt from communication via Encrochat.
The police were investigating which politicians and customs officials the smugglers had in mind. You probably won’t think of their names. One of the other members of the smuggling gang was arrested in Dubai. It is not yet known whether it will be published in Slovakia.
