San Marino. After the reports comes wild boar hunting in the areas of San Michele and Ranco. Expressway restricted to one carriageway
After the numerous reports sent by citizens regarding the persistence of criticism due to the excess number of wild boars in the castles of Borgo Maggiore and Serravalle, the hunt arrives in the locality of S. Michele and Ranco.
A beautiful November for example a motorist had filmed a group of four wild boars caught even grazing inside the San Marino expressway, in the ascending lane just before the former Elettronica, adjacent to the Laiala park.
The joke will take place Saturday 17 January, from 8:00 to 15:00.
The objective declared by the Secretariat of State for the Territory and the Environment, in collaboration with the Environmental and Agricultural Resources Management Office and the San Marino Hunting Federation, is “reduce the damage that animals themselves cause to the environment”.
The intervention will take place with the hunted method and will take place even in areas normally subject to a hunting ban“with the aim – explains the Secretariat – of containing the wild boar population, or rather preventing the risk of road accidents and damage to agricultural crops”.
The areas affected by the intervention will be duly indicated and delimited by specific signs bearing the wording “WARNING BOAR HUNTING IN PROGRESS”, as established by law.
To guarantee the greatest possible safety and avoid any interference with the road system, the Police Forces, supported by some volunteers from the San Marino Hunting Federation, will position themselves to guard the roads bordering the intervention area, while the AASLP will implement a restriction in the descending and ascending stretch of highway between the former Elettronica and the crossroads for the Serravalle cemetery.
