Quick opens a new restaurant near Toulouse
The Quick fast-food chain, which has been losing ground for a few years, is opening a new restaurant in Roques-sur-Garonne, south of Toulouse, on Thursday 15 December.
That’s enough to make fans of the Giant smile just ten days before Christmas. A new Quick franchise restaurant opens its doors this Thursday, December 15, a stone’s throw from the Roques-sur-Garonne shopping center, south of Toulouse.
The virtual disappearance of Quick in Toulouse
The fast food chain has been on the decline for several years. Notably since its acquisition by the American giant Burger King in 2015. Since then, the Giant has been replaced by the Wooper in the majority of the brand’s restaurants. Quick has thus gone from around 400 points of sale to only around a hundred.
In 2019, the Bertrand group, which owns Burger King in France, gave up its plan to transform all Quick establishments into BK. He finally sold what remains of the Giant’s temple to the American fund HIG Capital in August 2021. In the urban area of Toulouse, there was only one Quick restaurant left. It is near the Basso-Cambo shopping center. From now on, the declared objective is that of the rebirth of the brand.
Seventy positions created
” Giant and Quick’N’Toast fans can enjoy their meal on site inside or on the terrace where they could take their order, a drive-through service and a home delivery service have also been set up, ”announces the management of the hundred-seat restaurant.
For the installation of wires, Rapide has recruited nearly 70 people in partnership with the Pôle emploi de Portet-sur-Garonne. And good news for those looking for a job, “manager and team member offers are still to be filled”, says the restaurant.
