Monaco wants to separate from Jean Lucas and free up an extra-community place
Arriving from Olympique Lyonnais in August 2021 for the modest sum of eleven million euros, Jean Lucas is no longer part of AS Monaco’s plans. According to information from RMC Sports, coach Philippe Clément would therefore keep separating from the midfielder as soon as possible. And that’s good, because the next transfer period arrives in January. A departure from the 24-year-old Brazilian would also suit the management of the Monegasque club, which could recruit a new extra-community. The four places are already taken: Jean Lucas and his Brazilian compatriot Vanderson; the Chilean Guillermo Maripan and the Japanese Takumi Minamino.
In the event of the departure of the native of Rio de Janeiro – fourth in the hierarchy in his position – AS Monaco could take care of one of its burning issues. RMC Sports adds that one of the priorities of the Monegasques would be to recruit the young midfielder Danilo. At 21, the Brazilian player from Palmeiras could be one of the future essential elements of Philippe Clément. As a reminder, the club from the Principality is currently in sixth place in Ligue 1 and will return to the French lawns during the sixteenth day of the championship against Auxerre (December 28 at 5:00 p.m.).
