IIT Delhi, University of Helsinki join hands for joint research, academic cooperation
The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Finland’s University of Helsinki (UH) to promote joint research and academic collaboration.
According to the new agreement, the two institutes will establish a program that will cooperate in research, education, and the design, development, and testing of new measurement techniques. The program also helps in the construction and use of research infrastructure, especially with the aim of helping to solve the challenges of air quality and climate change in India.
Both institutes also exchange faculty and students (reciprocally) for a limited period of time for training and/or research. They also supervise students and postdocs together and collaborate in the design, construction and operation of research infrastructures, especially the Atmospheric Observatory located at IIT. DelhiSonipat campus.
In accordance with the new memorandum of understanding, the institutions have also agreed to exchange information on research and education programs, teaching materials and other literature related to their education and research programs.

Short-term continuing education programs are also jointly organized on topics of mutual interest. Faculty members of both institutes are invited to jointly propose and participate in funder-sponsored research or training programs.
