It was on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of her Foundation that Princess Charlene presented herself to Monaco-Morning, within the Prince’s Palace. The Sovereign’s wife first talks about her Children, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, and their main missions.
” Jacques and Gabriella were born with responsibilities and duties. They are still only children, but they are beginning to understand their roles. Princess Charlene then returned to her new role as President of SPA Monaco. More than 500 projects supported by the Foundation around the world
Last point presented during the interview: the Princess Foundation, which is celebrating its tenth birthday. The opportunity for the Princess to look back on her biggest drowning prevention projects, such as the Water Safety Daysthe creation of a training center in Burkina Faso or the SeaSafe program in Bangladesh.

(…) For the first time, we recognize drowning as a major public health problem while highlighting effective solutions, which exist. (…) In 2015, 360,000 people died of drowning. And for good reason: the Foundation has supported more than 510 projects in 43 countries, in just ten years of existence, thus helping more than one million people.

But Princess Charlene does not intend to stop there: the Sovereign’s wife has revealed that she wants to double the actions of the Foundation over the next ten years, by pursuing more and more actions on the African continents and Asians. ” We have a duty to inspire future generations through sport and swimming; but also through global education about our planet and its preservation “, ends the Princess.
According to Monaco-Morningnew ambassadors expected to join the ranks of the Foundation in 2023: handball player Jérôme Fernandez, gymnast Kevin Crovetto, sea rescue champion Stéphanie Barneix, marathon runner Paul Radcliffe and tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas.
