Conference: “Climate neutrality and cities. From the San Marino Declaration to sustainable and inclusive cities”

The San Marino Declaration contains eleven foundations for sustainable urban design and architecture, which represent a sort of “Hippocratic oath” for urban planners and operators.
These principles were symbolically signed on 3 October 2022 in San Marino by Norman Foster, Stefano Boeri and the representatives of the architectural orders of San Marino, Rimini and Pesaro who undertook to disseminate the contents to fellow designers in Worldwide.
With this conference Triennale Milano and the European Economic Commission of the United Nations (UNECE) want to expand the reflection started in San Marino and contribute to the dialogue between planners and urban operators on the theme of the principles of sustainable development of urbanization.

The meeting will be moderated by Paola Deda, Director Forests, Land and Housing Division, UNECE.
