3,000 Paris Habitat parking spaces for rent at Zenpark
Specialist in the temporary rental of car parks, Zenpark offers 3,000 Paris Habitat spaces on its platform. It was following a call for tenders that the social landlord called on the management of these spaces at Zenpark. They are spread over 83 car parks, in the 5e arrondissement of Paris, in the ten arrondissements from 10 to 20e, as well as in Boulogne-Billancourt in the Hauts-de-Seine. Of all these places, 60 will only accommodate motorcycles in the Paris area. Zenpark will manage these spaces for five years. The start-up takes care of the entire system, manages the invoicing and donates part of the profits to Paris Habitat.
Among Parisian social landlords, “20,000 empty places”
For the co-founder and CEO of Zenpark, William Rosenfeld, this new market contributes to providing an answer to the elimination of surface parking spaces in Paris. “For the City of Paris, the issue of soil artificialization consists above all in revegetating the urban space,” he says. This requires reclaiming the road to plant vegetation there and therefore eliminating parking spaces. 20,000 places are unused in the car parks of Parisian social landlords. This is as many spaces to recover on the road, the equivalent of a second Jardin du Luxembourg. »
“This new partnership between Zenpark and Paris Habitat represents 3,000 places, or 15% of all empty places. We are optimizing them for parking vehicles and freeing up road space,” continues William Rosenfeld. In Paris, we recall at Zenpark, the city should eliminate 60,000 surface parking spaces by 2026, the equivalent of 40 spaces per day. Figures that reflect the capital’s desire to move from “all-car” to “a mobility policy that is evolving to allow better sharing of public space for the benefit of all”.
