Case on Radio Firenze Viola, on Amrabat: “I wouldn’t give it up”
Dominic Caseformer soccer player Florentineintervened at RadioFirenzeViola during the “Purple Weekend” broadcast, to comment on the excellent performance in Qatar by Sofyan Amrabat:
There is a lot of talk about Sofyan Amrabat in view of the transfer market. What would you do in view of the January market?
“Italiano’s Fiorentina plays the opposite kind of football to that of Morocco. In the national team he is doing well, he is a solid player. Replacing a player like that would be difficult for Fiorentina. However, he is not an attacking midfielder, he has great physicality and needs” eat the field”. The discussion on the sale is up to Italiano and the club. Reaching the semi-final with Morocco is incredible and I would think about it before selling it”.
Could it be replaced?
“Amrabat plays better in a two-player midfield. After a World Cup like this, a lot is expected of him. He has a great personality and I wouldn’t let him go.”
Are you ready for the big leap into a big one?
“Of course, he impressed me a lot when he played in Verona. He has great skills in the middle of the pitch and is a complete player. Playing play would limit him from a position point of view, but with Morocco he is showing his qualities. In my opinion he would well in any type of football”.
What would you do in January?
“Fiorentina has had problems this season especially in attack. If you don’t have a scorer up front, winning becomes difficult. The Viola haven’t found Vlahovic’s heir and I would be looking for someone in the offensive department to capitalize on the chances that Fiorentina were managing to create in the last part of the season. This is what I can say as a winger. Having a strong identity like the one that the Italian team has but without a solid 9 is penalizing”.
