Bayern want to repatriate Nübel after Neuer injury
Bayern Munich received very bad news this Saturday with the announcement of Manuel Neuer’s serious injury. On vacation in the mountains after being eliminated from the 2022 World Cup in the group stage, the 36-year-old German goalkeeper broke his leg and will be out of action for the rest of the season.
Bayern want to repatriate Nübel
According to the German edition of sky sports, Bayern Munich is thus considering repatriating Alexander Nübel, currently on loan to Monaco since the summer of 2021, in order to compensate for the long absence of Manuel Neuer. However, nothing is closed yet and the file is only at its initial phase. “Before Alexandre or I talk about it, Bayern must first discuss with Monaco”, assured Stefan Backs, the 26-year-old’s agent.
Indeed, Nübel’s loan contract in Monaco ends on June 30, 2023, i.e. at the end of the current season, and Bayern Munich will therefore have to succeed in finding an economic agreement with ASM in order to repatriate his player.

For his part, Alexander Nübel, holder in Monaco, says he is open to the idea of an early return to Bayern Munich but does not wish to find himself on the bench of substitutes when Manuel Neuer returns next season.
