When the dream of living in Dubai fades, Andorra is the next ideal destination for so-called man of influence, youtubers Y streamers. More and more digital creators decide to move their residence to this European country due to its fiscal competitiveness.
Andorra has an income tax that does not exceed 10%. A very attractive factor for young people, especially Spanish and French, who do not want to be far from home.
“I have felt that in Andorra, there is a great quality of life, a lot of security, and we have many benefits, which it is interesting to take advantage of,” says Laia Falcó, a Spanish content creator.
But paradise is not so perfect in Andorra. The customs system can be slow as it is not part of the principality of the European Union.
“Dubai is also a place that is like the Mecca of luxury. It doesn’t have much to do with here (…). The issue of brands, I do see it as a bit complicated because here sometimes I do come across brands that They want to send you a bag, clothes, whatever… When you tell them to send it to me in Andorra they say ‘Oh no, no, Andorra no’. Due to the issue of borders, receiving (…) material is a bit complicated here”, Laia admits.
Andorra is still far from being measured with Dubai in terms of infrastructure and access to the luxury market, but life in the emirate is not usually easy either. Virginie Hergel is dedicated to helping influencers living in Dubai move to Andorra.
“Life in Dubai can be fun for the first few years, but then it’s not. People contact me, it’s always after five years of living there. Because after a while, they can’t take it anymore. And also Geographically, the French say: “Andorra is perfect”, explains the also businesswoman.
Content creators who move to this small principality are often criticized by their peers living in other European countries. They accuse them of generating thousands of euros at the cost of not participating in the welfare state of their respective countries, where precisely the horrible of their audience resides.
