Barcelona will host the world’s leading fair for the pharmaceutical sector in 2023
Hotel reservations in Barcelona for October of next year it begins to cheer up after confirming that the city will host the world’s leading fair for the pharmaceutical sector, CPHI, again in 2023. It is an event that moves 40,000 visitors and has not been held in the Catalan capital since 2016.
This pharmaceutical industry fair will bring together more than 1,800 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors from 167 countries, and plans to occupy practically the entire Gran Vía venue, according to reports Barcelona Fair.
“After this year’s edition, which took place in Frankfurt, the 2023 call will be held from October 24 to 26 at the Gran Via venue, which already hosted it in 2016,” explains the fair entity.

What visitor profile will attend the fair?
CPHI Barcelona will show the latest innovations in all areas of the pharmaceutical industry, from ingredients and generics to capsules and excipients, including machinery, packaging or biopharmaceutical products.
The fair will bring together leading pharmaceutical companies and drug developers, along with consultants, and service providers.
The event includes both an exhibition and a congress in which the main challenges for the future of the sector will be discussed.

According to the general director of Fira de Barcelona, Constantí Serrallonga, “the arrival of a hall of these dimensions reinforces the role of Fira as a venue for top-level world events, especially in the medical and technological field, but it is above all great news for the city and its surroundings, since the impact and legacy of a fair of these characteristics in terms of business, innovation, opportunities and positioning is of great relevance”.
Others medical fairs and congresses Already confirmed for 2023 in Barcelona are Infarma, the European Congress of Cardiac Arrhythmia (EHRA) and Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), as well as the world congresses of Gastrointestinal Medicine, Gynecological Cancer, Parkinson’s or brain diseases (ECNP).
