FH Salzburg agreed adjusted flight times from flydubai » News | Tip
The Salzburg-Dubai flight connection was successfully launched in July 2021 and the third largest airport in the world was included in the flight program as a long-haul hub for Salzburg. Although this was a milestone for Salzburg Airport, the flight times introduced have not turned out to be ideal. Why these are now being adjusted.
“Together with flydubai, we have succeeded in changing the flight times: from mid-January, the planes from Dubai will arrive shortly after noon. This will help all of us and especially the passengers in Dubai to catch more onward flights with less waiting time”, fairport managing director Bettina Ganghofer regrets.
In addition, the change in flight times also improves connectivity to the Emirates/flydubai hub in Dubai, significantly increasing connectivity and the number of connecting flights. “Destinations such as the Maldives, Colombo in Sri Lanka, Zanzibar, Kathmandu in Nepal, and above all the new flydubai connections to Pattaya and Krabi in Thailand can now be reached with short transfer times via the flight connection to Dubai. In codeshare, many additional Emirates routes, for example in Africa, India, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, can also be reached with just one change,” says airport officer Christopher Losmann.
The new flight times:
From mid-January, flydubai planes will land at 12:55 p.m. on Saturdays; on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 1:05 p.m. The take-off in the direction of Dubai takes place one hour after landing – i.e. at 1:55 p.m. or 2:05 p.m. (red)
