Marçal, a Botafogo player, recalls the former Benfica centre-back, but also talks about Pepe and Sergio Ramos.
Brazilian Marçal, who played for Torreense and Nacional in Portugal, having been linked to Benfica, but without ever wearing the “eagles” shirt, revealed the “dirtiest” player he played against. In a conversation on the program “Resenha com Thiago Franklin”, the winger recalls Luisão, but considers that the two most evil players are Pepe and Sergio Ramos, against whom he never played.
“That player [Luisão]for me… I played against him several times and I never really liked it, because, despite being a good player, he was mean…”, he began by saying, before emphasizing that he considers Pepe and Ramos to be meaner.
“I didn’t play against Pepe or Sergio Ramos. The two that I think are the dirtiest I didn’t play against. But Luisão from Benfica, at the time there was no VAR, he was a mean player, out of touch. In corners, elbows in the chest, sometimes in the face… He was a player I didn’t like to see play”, he concluded.
