Lisbon hosts the Jazz Festival again (and includes a concert by Salvador Sobral)
It will take place between December 16th and 18th, in various locations in the city. The musician had announced a career break.
The Jazz Festival, which celebrates its 22nd anniversary this year, will once again occupy Lisbon between the 16th and 18th of December. The event dedicated to the musical style that emerged in New Orleans, in the United States, will be divided between the Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB), the arena of the old Coach Museum and the Ler Devagar bookshop, at Lx Factory.
One of the main highlights is a concert with Salvador Sobral (who has been absent stage) and Spaniard Marco Mezquida. Together they will present a “Cosa de Dois”. Another renowned name in international jazz, Trilok Gurtu, will also perform, along with João Paulo Esteves da Silva and Yuri Daniel, in addition to guests Carlos Martins, João Frade and Mário Delgado.
Performances by Nazaré da Silva quintet, Hugo Carvalhais, Lantana, Jazzopa, Joana Raquel and Miguel Meirinhos, Perselí, Marques/Cabaud quartet and DLW have not yet been included. The program also includes debates and performances by musicians from different schools of jazz. Tickets are on sale for €20.
