Krakow will be the first in Poland to rent subscription bikes

Officials explain that in the LajkBike system, the user will use the bike continuously for a period of time (at least a month). During this period, the lessor can also count on a two-wheeler service, which is included in the subscription price. The Public Transport Authority in Krakow runs a city rental of this type as the first in Poland. No other city offers long-term bike rental.
The City of Krakow reserves that a detailed record of the additional regulations of the new city bike is still under preparation. The current ZTP proposal assumes a monthly subscription fee of PLN 29 for one bike. You will also need to use a deposit.
LajkBike two-wheelers are equipped with all the elements of safe use in urban traffic: full lighting with a dynamo (in the hub), a lock operated with one key, thanks to which it is easier to carry, for example, a package on the trunk and a hub gear. Each bike also has a fastener designed to attach it to a rack or other infrastructure element.
Ultimately, 500 bikes will be available for rent in the Krakow LajkBike system. The first 250 have already arrived in Krakow, and the next one appeared in the next one. The city has collected almost PLN 1 million for them.
Kraków is still looking for a supplier of electric bikes, which are also to be offered by LajkBike. Their rental will be equally higher (PLN 79 per month), and the deposit will also be much higher. “Electricians” in the city service are to be as many as you can see two-wheelers, i.e. 500.
