Good news every day: Enjoy beautiful art without admission
Munich is expensive. The rents, the restaurants, the beer. There is often not much left for cultural entertainment. You can look forward to this news from autumn 2022 all the more.
Visit the Lenbachhaus once a month for free!
Admission to the Lenbachhaus has recently been free on the first Thursday of every month from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The city council decided this to attract other visitors – namely young people and people who otherwise rarely go to a museum. The offer is also practical, because otherwise museums are often already closed when Munich is closing time.
In the evening to the museum
Currently on view is an exhibition by Etel Adnan, an abstract painter who died in November last year at the age of 96.
Two foundations made the free evening openings possible. First of all, the offer is limited to three years. But depending on how things go, it should be extended. And as you can hear, word has gotten around among the people of Munich that it’s a lot of fun at night in the museum. We can also hope for an extension.
