“Unbreakable Ukraine”: an exhibition of photos about the resilience of the military will be opened in due course
For seven years, the International Day of People with Disabilities has been celebrated in Ukraine by servicemen, veterans and volunteers of Ukraine as the Day of the Unbreakable.
During the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, tens of thousands of people with disabilities were abandoned from their homes, became forced migrants in their own country and refugees in other countries.
Thousands of Ukrainians, military and civilians, were disabled as a result of the hostilities of the Russian aggressor on the territory of our country. Project participants will talk about how they overcome these challenges during the opening of the photo exhibition.
That is why “Unbreakable Ukraine” is a project to support people with disabilities and focus society’s attention on the severity of the nature of the Ukrainian war.
In addition to the authors of the photos, there will be representatives of several ministries and departments. They can answer all questions about the problems of servicemen, veterans and civilians who have a disability or received it as a result of hostilities.
The Ministry of Social Policy has released figures showing the number of people with disabilities registered in Ukraine. More than 2.7 million people now have physical limitations, including more than 163.9 thousand children with disabilities, and another 222 thousand people with the first group, 900.8 thousand – with the second group, 1416 thousand – with the third group of disabilities.
The photo exhibition “Unbreakable Ukraine” was implemented together with the Information Agency “Army Inform” and the Central Television and Radio Studio of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, with the assistance of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and with the participation of the public organizations “Unbreakable Spirit of Ukrainians” and “Help Front”, as well as social service for people with disabilities . “You are special” of the Revival Christian Church.
