ADEME Occitanie offers itself new premises
After more than twenty years spent in Labège (Enova district), the Toulouse team of ADEME Occitanie is moving to Toulouse. On November 16, Étienne Guyot, prefect of the region Occitania and territorial delegate of ADEME as well as Céline Vachey, regional director of ADEME Occitanie, understood the new premises, which according to ADEME, are “energy efficient”.
Environmentally conscious
The new offices are located in the heart of Toulouseon the site of the Adour-Garonne Water Agency, Jean-François Poncet building integrated in 2018. The consolidation of the Water Agency, the French Office for Biodiversity and ADEME into one same place initiates “a synergy to promote the acceleration of the ecological transition of the territories“, congratulates himselfADEME in a press release.
Like the projects supported by ADEME in terms of economical buildings, the new infrastructure has been integrated as part of an environmental quality approach. “Rated A on the energy label, the building is energy efficient, heated and cooled thanks to geothermal energy”, underlines ADEME.
The ecological transition, at the heart of the priorities
ADEME in Occitania is under the coordination of the regional prefect, territorial delegate of ADEME. The organization participates in the deployment of State policies in terms of ecological transition. As a State operator, ADEME facilitates the implementation of projects related to ecological transition in many areas (energy, air, waste and circular economy, mobility, adaptation to climate change, etc.) through financial aid, advice, networking and training.
It is involved in the development of tools and the dissemination of good practices. It also funds projects, from research to implementation. Finally, theADEME participates in planning and forecasting work. The organization is thus positioning itself as an important player in the ecological transition.
