Tesla opens service center in Parsdorf near Munich
Tesla continues to expand in southern Germany and opens the first Tesla Center in the metropolitan region in Parsdorf near Munich. This shortens the distances for customers around the state capital enormously.
The next Tesla Delivery Center so far is located in Haag, around 60 kilometers east of Munich city center and can only be reached via federal highways 12 and 15. Parsdorf, on the other hand, is near the Munich East junction (A99/A94), just one exit further east on the A94.
“On more than 7,600 square meters, customers and interested parties from Munich and the surrounding area have centralized access to sales, vehicle maintenance and the delivery of new vehicles for the first time,” as Tesla writes in a short message. This follows the Germany-wide strategy of the regional Tesla Centers, which serve customers as a central, local point of contact.
Customers and interested parties have access to test drives, exhibition vehicles and personal advice at Taxetstraße 4 Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The workshop is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Incidentally, this is not the first time that Parsdorf has appeared in the media in connection with electromobility: that’s also where it’s being created BMW’s battery cell production competence center. The Cell Manufacturing Competence Center (CMCC) serves as a pilot line for the near-series production of lithium-ion battery cells. However, BMW does not want to take over the large-scale production itself, but will continue to buy the cells from partners. With the CMCC, however, you will improve your own know-how about the manufacturing processes and scaling.
