Portugal and Brazil want a third victory
Five times world champion, Brazil will look to maintain a flawless performance in the Qatar Championship, when they face Cameroon this Friday.
In the absence of the injured Neymar, the Brazilians defeated Switzerland 1-0 courtesy of a late goal from Casemiro. Two wins in two games mean that Brazil is already qualified for the Round of 16.
With just one point, Cameroon must win at the Lusail Stadium and wait for the result between Serbia and Switzerland. André Onana is out of the match, the player was sent home for disciplinary reasons.
And this Friday, group H also enters the field. It’s all or nothing for Uruguay, who have to beat Ghana if they want to advance to the eighth. Players like Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Darwin Nunez arrived with high expectations, but they have yet to make themselves known.
As for Ghana, this match is a repeat of the 2010 quarter-finals, when they lost to a great last-minute honor.
In Group H, three teams can still qualify. Portugal is already in the “eighth”. He won the first two games and will now face South Korea, at Cidade da Educação stadium. It’s an open day at this FIFA World Cup.
