Entrepreneur: Training and makeup are “served” in this “bar”
The Salzburg make-up artist Sophia Spatt will now also be offering more training courses at her new location. The opening was recently celebrated.
SALZBURG. The desire for an additional location in the city center had been there for a long time. “But good things sometimes take time and I’m all the more pleased that we’ve found a suitable place and can celebrate the opening,” says Sophia Spatt about her new “Academy & Beauty Bar” in the city center.
Training meets party
The Salzburg native has been running a “Beauty Bar” in Aigen since 2017. Naturally everything revolves around beauty there, from make-up to hair styling. “However, the 50 square meters there were too small for group bookings for birthday parties or bachelorette parties. And for the implementation of training courses and workshops, which are my second passion, so to speak, to combine areas on site, also more and more matured,” explains Spatt.
This should now be possible at the new downtown location on Franz-Josef-Kai. “There we have 95 square meters, a Prosecco bar, a lounge area and a make-up table where the training courses can be held,” says the make-up artist, who also holds courses at the Salzburg Wifi.
“Less is more”
The classic “day services”, such as eyebrow or eyelash styling, are offered both in Aigen and in the city center.
But what actually defines stylish make-up from the point of view of the expert? “Less is more. A naturally made-up face, in which the advantages are emphasized, is the art of beautiful make-up. The face should look fresh, radiant and lively, but by no means unnatural. Half the battle for any eye make-up up Are well-formed eyebrows, they frame the whole face.
Focus on weddings
In general, the trends in the make-up industry are very short-lived and always subject to innovations, says Spatt, who WILL be visiting the beauty fair in Bologna in March. Amsterdam is also always on Sophia Spatt’s itinerary for further training. Weddings are one of the focal points of her professional annual cycle for the Salzburg native. “We have a good 70 to 80 weddings a year where we do the bridal styling. Those are always beautiful and emotional moments for us because we are very close to the action,” says the make-up expert.
