The Adige of Verona “The city that rises”, Alberto Battaggia confirmed as president of the Verona think tank
Yesterday, Monday 28 November, the Ordinary Assembly of Members of the Veronese cultural association “La città che salt” was held. He has been confirmed as president for the next three years Albert Battaggia. The new Governing Council is now formed, together with the president, by Luciano Butti, Robert Capucci, Roberto Giacobazzi, Robert Ricciuti.
” The city that rises – said Battaggia – was born, at the beginning of 2019 to contribute, in political-cultural terms, to the affirmation of a new administration capable of tackling the serious unresolved problems of the city: in the next three years it will not it will change its role or attitude towards the new junta, remaining a tool for critical, qualified and independent reflection on major city issues”.

He then recalled the extraordinary ”Virus time dictionary” which involved decisions by Italian and non-Italian intellectuals.
The rising city, born in 2019 by some professionals and university professors from the city of Verona – Alberto Battaggia, Luciano Butti, Gian Arnaldo Caleffi, Roberto Capuzzo, Maurizio Cimetti, Roberto Giacobazzi, Paola Marini, Anna Maria Molino, Roberto Ricciuti – is a cultural association that intends to promote public debate on economic, social, cultural and political issues. Its activity is aimed at offering reflections and proposals on the administrative issues of the cities and, in particular, of Verona. The association, in the different sensitivities that make it up, recognizes itself in an updated liberal-democratic political culture, anchored to the values of Europe, internationality, innovation, sustainable development, human rights. The association promotes dialogue with citizens through public meetings and blog pages.
