Darmstadt Kurdish patriots take over Freedom for Öcalan Vigil in Strasbourg in its 545th week
The Freedom Vigil for Abdullah Öcalan was launched on June 25, 2012 in Strasbourg, demanding the freedom of the leader of the Kurdish people and an end to isolation.
On the 545th week, the vigil was taken over by Kurdish patriots from Darmstadt.
The group includes Kamuran Kılınç, Selim Oltan and Feyzi Özçelik.
The group’s spokesperson, Kamuran Kılınç, said: “Greetings and respect to all the people of Kurdistan. Today, the Darmstadt group is in Strasbourg to resume the vigil. As we know, the vigil has been going on here for years. The period we are going through is a very historic period. As the leaders have said, it has never been more critical than this process. Every patriotic Kurd must fulfill his duty as an honorable Kurd and protect the leadership. Every patriot must defend his values and his party. All the Kurdish people know that our party today is waging a unique struggle all over the world.”
Kılınç continued: “Our guerrillas have turned the mountains of Zap, Metina, Heftanin and Kurdistan into graves for the enemy. However, we, the Kurds in the diaspora, must support the guerrillas, we must support our party and our leader. Management says if you are going to be a comrade, you have to complete your comradeship. It’s not just about saying “I’m a comrade”. The most important thing is to be a comrade on your own. From here, once again, we “Send our greetings to our leader. On this occasion, we celebrate the 44th anniversary of our party. Biji Serok Apo! Biji guerrillas! Biji PKK! Biji Kurdistan!”
