First arrest for home burglaries in San Marino
First arrest for thefts in Montegiardino. A French man arrested for drug possession. The close collaboration between the Gendarmerie, the Civil Police and the Guardia di Rocca has led to the first results after the various thefts in recent weeks
(…) As part of a coordinated plan between the Gendarmerie Corps, the Civil Police Corps and the Uniformed Unit of the Rocca Guard, the forces of order intervened around 19.20 in the Castle of Montegiardino, after reporting two burglaries committed in two homes of the area. Agents have arrested an Albanian citizen driving a car, at the fuel station of Faetano, then finding him in possession of tools suitable for burglary. The patrols continued their activities aimed at searching for further accomplices who would appear to have been the perpetrators of the thefts mentioned, who however probably fled to the fields taking advantage of the darkness. The Albanian citizen, of age and residing outside the territory of San Marino, was transported to the “Cappuccini” prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities. (…)
The personnel of the three police forces, in joint action, identified a 34-year-old French citizen who had camped out in a tent within the search area for the thieves. The stranger was found in possession of about 100 grams of “marijuana”. (…)
Before being associated with prison, to remain available to the investigating magistrate, the French citizen was suitably photographed. (…)
