Let’s start with the afternoon flight which ended in the early evening. It was the third Day1 of the event which registered 76 members. Upon reaching the 15th level, play stopped at 9 lefties who bagged their stacks for the Final Day scheduled for Sunday at 14:00.
Marius Saplacan leads the third day of qualifying at the Wolf Of Poker Main Event and bags the first €4,000 coin from the chip leader bonus. At the 12th level of play he is deep running, he hits the nuts straight on the flop and drains the Chinese Dexian. After a few dealt hands, he collides with Nicola Angelini who, impotent with 8 ♦ ️8 ♥ ️ finds the Romanian aces. Angelini does not give up, with a couple of doors he manages to get back on top by crossing the 550k wall. In the last few hands of the game he loses everything within a stone’s throw, leaves the scene and leaves the € 3,000 silver coin to Marco Leonzio who mocks him on a low board with J ♣ ️J ♥ ️ vs T ♣ ️T ♠ ️. Leonzio has won 660,000 dollars in his career and is the record man for “flags” on the European Poker Tour, both in the main and in various high rollers and side events. Giorgio Baralli gives him the coup de grace by cracking his K♦️K♠️ with a flush on the J♥️ closed on the river and takes the 3rd prize of €2,000. Sergio Maurizio finished in fourth place and bags the smallest coin worth €1,000.
