World Parkinson’s Day, the initiatives of the San Marino Parkinson’s Association
World Parkinson’s Day is celebrated again this year.
Established in 1997 by the European Parkinson’s Disease Association (EPDA), in homage to James Parkinson, the English doctor who in 1817 described for the first time the “agitating paralysis” which in 1877 will officially take the name of “Parkinson’s disease”.
Today 25 November on that occasion, we were received by their Excellencies the Captains Regent:

This gesture on the part of our Heads of State, whom we thank very much, is further recognition of the work that the San Marino Parkinson Association is carrying out for members affected by this disease.

The evening will be enlivened by Claudio Canta Baglioni, a tribute band.
The Association will briefly present its activities to support and try to slow down the aggressiveness of the disease and live a daily life with many difficulties.
