Stefan Raab’s company warns Youtuber
The Youtuber Trymacs wanted to organize an ice football tournament in Cologne. But now he has been warned by Stefan Raab and his production company.
The Youtuber Trymacs, real Maximilian Stemmler, had planned for December 29 in Cologne: together with his partners Media Total, the streaming platform Joyn and colleagues from the web video scene, Stemmler wanted to organize an “ice football” tournament in the Lanxess Arena. As in classic football, two teams compete against each other. However, the match is carried on an ice rink and in bowling shoes. This is familiar to long-established TV viewers.
Moderator legend Stefan Raab also organized such tournaments, the last one took place in 2015. And that’s exactly what’s causing trouble between Raab’s production company RaabTV and Youtuber Trymacs: Like him Youtuber in a video message Explained to his fans that RaabTV had warned him and Media Total.
“I was always a big fan of Raab”
According to Stemmler, it was requested that the event not be held in this form. The streaming service Joyn also speaks of “licensing reasons” in a joint press release with the Lanxess Arena. Accordingly, the rights to such an event would lie with RaabTV. “They asked us not to carry out, not to produce and not to advertise the planned “Kick auf Eis” event,” explains Stemmler in the video.
In addition, Stemmler and his partners should also bear the legal costs, “an item value of 500,000 euros,” says the Youtuber. At the same time, Stemmler is disappointed by Raab. Then he was always a big fan of the TV total presenter and took him as a role model in many respects. So far there has not been a personal conversation between him and Stefan Raab.
The 28-year-old content creator does not want to cancel his event. Instead of ice football, he will now host a normal football tournament in the Lanxess Arena. That, too, will be a “super awesome event,” said Stemmler. the realignment of the events brings with it a few changes. So not all participants will be able to attend the tournament. Scene greats like Montana Black and Knossi will definitely be on the pitch.
