MUW Kraków: “I love my homeland more than my own heart”
Under this slogan, an art and literary competition was held by the Catholic Action of the Diocese of Tarnów. During the ceremonial summary of the competition, the winners were presented. In the place where there is a seat in the John Paul II hall at the Tarnów cathedral, indeed the first vice-voivode of Lesser Poland, Ryszard Pagacz.
– The Polish Primate of the Millennium, Blessed Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, is an incredibly inspiring figure. There is no doubt that the life of this exceptional clergyman had an impact on the fate of Poland. It was at his side that the later pope, St. John Paul II. The exceptional friendship between Cardinal Wyszyński and Cardinal Karol Wojtyła was also based on an unquestionable commitment to Polish affairs. Deep patriotism and genuine concern for the independence of our homeland were the basis for many activities that change the face of Poland. I would like to congratulate everyone who accepted the invitation of the Catholic Action and joined this year’s competition. Participation in it was a way to deepen knowledge about this great Pole – says the first vice-voivode of Lesser Poland, Ryszard Pagacz.
The competition “I love my homeland higher than my own heart” drew the attention of its participants to the approach to patriotism in the teaching of the supported Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński. Art and literary works were evaluated in different age groups. literary. Finally awarded subtitles of 11 literary works and 13 works of art.
The winners received prizes funded by the Małopolskie Voivode.
