Children discover business: 24 sales stands provide plenty of movement
There was a lot of activity at the 24 sales stands in the artist foyer of the Congress Innsbruck. More than 200 students from the districts of Innsbruck-Stadt and -Land slipped into the role of entrepreneurs.
INNSBRUCK. Children discover Business is entrepreneurship for children to touch. For several weeks, more than 200 students from the districts of Innsbruck-Stadt and -Land have been dealing with exciting questions from the economy: Why do you need a trade license? What is a rental agreement? How does advertising work? How do you calculate correctly? What are good selling points?
Franz JirkaWK district chairman for Innsbruck-Stadt, was happy to show himself: “With this event, we bring entrepreneurship closer to the little ones. You can tell the children how much joy this topic gives them”.
Pupils from the practical VS of the PHT, the VS Allerheiligen, the VS Pradl Ost, the VS Pradl-Leitgeb1, the VS Patsch, the VS Thaur, the VS Unterer Stadtplatz and the VS Pfaffenhofen were there. There was a large selection of products at the 24 stands: toy cars, marbles and hand cream. Combined with a lot of love for decoration and friendly advice, customers were encouraged to buy.
Entrepreneurial Thinking
As part of KiWi, the children decide on an assortment, choose a company name, place their orders with wholesalers and prepare the decoration of their stalls. In addition, price lists were written and, last but not least, the question was asked: “What clothes contribute to success on the big trading day?”.
Patrick WeberWK district chairman for Innsbruck-Land states: “We are also concerned with transporting entrepreneurial thinking into schools and paying more attention to the topic in the classroom”.
