CaseLab’s new management has moved the company to Sweden
Back in 2018, CaseLabs, a US-based PC case manufacturer, was forced into bankruptcy due to high tariffs, but in 2021, CaseLabs enthusiast Emil Rytterstedt bought the rights to the CaseLabs brand, hoping to revive the company.
Now CaseLabs has a new website and it describes the company’s future plans. Now CaseLabs is a Swedish company, and while today’s CaseLabs works with the brand’s former employees in the USA, the company is now distinctly European. For US customers, this means that shipping costs will increase for US customers and that shipping costs will decrease for European customers.
What happened to CaseLabs?
California-based CaseLabs unfortunately went out of business back in 2018 due to US tariff issues. CaseLabs enthusiast Emil Rytterstedt bought the rights in 2021. We are now working to revive the brand and to start manufacturing cases in Sweden again.
When will I be able to purchase a CaseLabs case again?
While there is no official date yet, we want you to know that we are working hard to make things work. We’ve started going through all the blueprints and it’s looking good so far. We want to ensure that QC meets CaseLab’s standards when it comes to our manufacturing partner. We will most likely start selling spare parts initially, with complete cases soon after.

CaseLabs is currently working to begin manufacturing replacement parts for its existing cases, with full case production to follow soon. Over time, CaseLabs plans to produce new case models, although for now the company’s focus is on recreating its original lineup and updating its cases with updated front I/O, vertical GPU mounts, and other modern features.
Sometime in the future we would love to design brand new case models. However, our current plan for cases is to start by selling replacement parts, followed by the original line of cases. After that, our focus will be on updating the original set of cases to revision A with updated front I/O, vertical GPU mount support, and so on.
And we heard you: A small form factor case could see the light of day sometime in the future.
Further into the future, CaseLab’s product line will likely expand to include merchandise, PC accessories, PC accessories, and other components. CaseLabs will become more than just a PC case company, bringing more diversity to the overall PC market.
