Annecy, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Behind its appearance as a sunny picturesque town, Annecy reveals an overcast sky for a good part of the year. Bordering its eponymous lake, reputed to be the cleanest in Europe, Annecy is located between the Bornes and Bauges massifs which give it a mountain climate. From year to year, the city sports about 8 days of rain per month and an accumulation of 5 mm of precipitation per day. It is in February and September that the most rainfall is recorded, while May, June, July and August have the most lightening in the year. In autumn as in winter, the castle of Annecy protects its visitors from the surrounding humidity while reflecting an interesting facet of its history.
