Ukraine is counting on the support of international partners in the reconstruction of the country and the implementation of social programs aimed at returning Ukrainians home.

“The war is destroying Ukraine’s labor market. Fighting continues where ten million workers were employed. At least five million people have lost their jobs. More workers have died in the fighting. About seven million people have left the country because of the fighting. The unemployment rate has increased significantly.” – said Berezhna.
According to her, that is why stabilization and recovery of the economy, development of the labor market and return to citizens, as well as creation of new jobs are among the key priorities of the Government.
A number of government programs, which have already been launched and are working successfully, are aimed at this. In addition, among such programs, the deputy minister named affordable lending for business, relocation of enterprises from dangerous areas to safe ones, grant support for the development of entrepreneurship eRobota, involvement of the unemployed in socially useful works within the framework of the project “Recovery of the Army”, assistance programs for partial unemployment.
“We emphasize that there are great challenges and tasks ahead of us on the way to the restoration of Ukraine and the return of our people. We hope that international partners will support us in this, in particular, our good second Poland, which is not home to almost 1.5 million Ukrainians.” . under the temporary protection program. She noted that each of Ukraine’s partners will be able to find their segment and join the great program of Ukraine’s recovery. Both through investments in the reconstruction of infrastructure, industrial and social facilities, and by supporting separate programs aimed at business development and employment stimulation, which provide for the possibility of attracting any sources, including sources of charitable contributions, humanitarian aid, grants, gifts , international aid, etc.
“Ukraine is now dynamically changing to become better for its citizens and an open and reliable partner for its Polish friends,” concluded Berezhna.
while, despite the war in Ukraine, the number of officially unemployed is decreasing. As of November, 239,000 of them were recorded. In June, this figure was equal to 316,000. The reduction in the number of unemployment applications can be influenced by the mobilization of men. However, the percentage of unemployed women is also decreasing.
