Clauss lets loose! Between Lens and Marseille, it’s another world – Sport.fr
Recruited this summer by Olympique de Marseille from RC Lens, Jonathan Clauss has adapted perfectly to his new team. Not summoned by Didier Deschamps for the World Cup with the French team, he returned to his start to the season but not only…
For the former Lensois, landing in Marseille was a huge change on several points, as he explained to Onze Mondial: ” In Marseille, I discovered another world. I who am from the north, who have always played clubs in the north, west or east, I discovered Marseille and it is extraordinary. The sun, the city that breathes the foot, the Velodrome which is extraordinary. I feel like it’s still a dream. Everything is beautiful. I always said to myself: ‘I dream of signing for a club in the south’.
When Marseille called me, I said to myself: ‘I have to go’. I like too much. I don’t live in Marseille itself so I’m less in the city center. At the beginning, I was at the hotel and people already recognized me. But always good, always correct, we feel that they live for that. When they recognize you, ask, they ask for photos and want to chat a little, but always with respect. »
