Coronavirus, 256 new cases in Pisa and its province
In Tuscany there are 2,166, a regional positivity rate of 21.2%. hospitalizations and intensive care are decreasing. 9 deaths, 3 in the Pisa area
There are 2,166 new cases of Covid-19 registered in the last twenty-four hours in Tuscany: 359 were confirmed with a molecular swab and the other 1,807 with a rapid test. The number of infected people detected in the region since the beginning of the pandemic therefore rises to 1,501,827. New cases are 0.1% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 0.1% (1,378 people) and reach 1,433,612 (95.5% of total cases).
The data relating to the progress of the pandemic are those ascertained today on the basis of the requests of the national civil protection.
At the moment, therefore, there are 57,114 positives in Tuscany, +1.4% compared to yesterday. Of these, 448 (14 fewer than yesterday) are hospitalized: 17 (1 fewer) are in intensive care. The list of deaths is updated with 9 new deaths: 5 men and 4 women with a mean age of 85.2 years.
Since the last daily bulletin, 933 molecular swabs and 9,265 rapid antigenic swabs have been performed: of these, 21.2% tested positive. On the other hand, 2,334 subjects were tested, excluding control swabs: 92.8% of these were positive.
The trend by province
With the latest cases, the positives since the beginning of the emergency in the municipalities of the metropolitan city of Florence rise to 405,709 (549 more than yesterday), 99,403 in the province of Prato (121 more), 117,761 in Pistoia (177 more) , 76,526 in Massa Carrara (105 more), 162,362 in Lucca (266 more), 174,962 in Pisa (256 more), 136,495 in Livorno (245 more), 136,062 in Arezzo (194 more), 107,925 in Siena (122 more) and 83,671 in Grosseto (121 more). To these must be added 569 cases of positivity notified in Tuscany but which concern residents in other regions.
Tuscany has around 40,668 total cases per 100,000 inhabitants since the beginning of the pandemic (between residents and non-residents). At the moment, the notification province with the highest rate is Lucca (with 42,287 cases per 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Pisa (41,859) and Livorno (41,488). The lowest concentration is found in Prato (with a rate of 37,473).
56,666 are in isolation at homebecause they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free (793 more than yesterday, plus 1.4%).
The 1,433,612 healed registered to date are in all respectsfrom a viral point of view, certified with a negative swab.

With regard to the province of residence, the deceased are: 3 in Florence, 1 in Pistoia, 3 in Pisa1 in Arezzo, 1 in Siena.
11,101 have died since the beginning of the epidemic: 3,511 in the metropolitan city of Florence, 900 in the province of Prato, 995 in Pistoia, 703 in Massa Carrara, 1,038 in Lucca, 1,246 in Pisa, 831 in Livorno, 711 in Arezzo, 600 in Siena, 409 in Grosseto. Vanno added 157 people who died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
The crude mortality rate for Covid-19 (number of deceased/resident population) is currently 300.6 per 100,000 residents. As far as the provinces are concerned, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (370.3 per 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Florence (351.7) and Pistoia (342.8), while the lowest is in Grosseto (187.7).
