Russian Airbus has been parked for months – spokesman says
Aero-lame instead of aero-fast: In the nearly 31-year history of Munich Airport, no aircraft has stood in the parking position as long as the silver-blue Airbus A 320.
Munich Airport – The painting of the tail reveals: It is a machine of the Russian airline Aeroflot. Because of the no-fly zones over the country and Ukraine, the plane no longer comes home. He landed on February 27ththree days after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and shortly after the ban on flying was issued.
But the (parking) clock is ticking: Since then, a good 70,000 euros in fees have accrued, reports airport spokesman Edgar Enger on request. 324 euros per day.
Munich Airport: Russian Airbus hasn’t moved for months – it belongs to a leasing company
The Airbus was moved again and again, initially standing at the freight terminal on the southern runway. It is currently parked on the east apron at the Terminal 2 satellite. “We relocate the machine when we need the parking space,” explains Engert. The Airbus is surrounded by a barrier – a sign that the Russian plane will not take off again so quickly.
The jet, which costs between 80 and 120 million US dollars new, does not belong to the Russians at all, but to a leasing company. Provided the identifier is based in Bermuda.

She would be the only one who could pick up the A 320, Aeroflot is forbidden to do so. “Of course, it has to be released first,” clarifies Engert. But so far the owner hasn’t even gotten to the Airport reported. Before take-off, the plane would have to be checked thoroughly. (Ham)
