La Maison de l’emploi de Bordeaux veut se rapprocher des entreprises
It was on the occasion of the 15th Bordeaux Disability Employment Meetings, at the Palais de la Bourse this Thursday, November 17, that Stéphane Pfeiffer, who is the president, announced the change of identity of the Maison de l’emploi de Bordeaux, which becomes the Maison de l’emploi et de l’entreprise, or MDEE. A small change of sign which wants to progress more proximity with companies, locomotives of job creation.
Disability employment meetings organized by the MDEE involve more than 60 employers with more than 500 job offers, offer throughout the day to the 1,200 visitors who are expected. Second Deputy Mayor of Bordeaux in charge of employment, social and solidarity economy and innovative economic forms, Stéphane Pfeiffer intervened on the sidelines of these Handicap Employment Meetings in the company of Pierre Hurmic.
“I would first like to remind you of the employment situation in Bordeaux, which has a historically low unemployment rate, at 6.5%, down -0.8% over one year. testifies to the dynamism of our territory, even if there are concerns about the distribution of jobs throughout the territory of the Gironde”, notably reframed the mayor of Bordeaux.
Before emphasizing the city’s desire to get ever closer to the people furthest from employment. The mayor thus recalled that, by the end of the year, Bordeaux’s application for the Zero Unemployed Territory trial in the Grand Parc district will be finalized. While attesting to the points of vigilance put by the municipality on the sectors of activity in tension, such as early childhood, Pierre Hurmic insisted on the creation of the jobs of tomorrow, in particular in the field of the social and solidarity economy ( ESS) including Bordeaux and which has become the world capital after Seoul.
Bordeaux capital of the Global SSE Forum
“Since January 2022, Bordeaux has become the capital of the World Forum of the Social and Solidarity Economy… And we are starting to see the first results, with companies coming to set up in Bordeaux because of this image”, enlightened Pierre Hurmic.
The Maison de l’emploi et de l’entreprise being the armed arms of the town hall to incriminate its policy in favor of employment, Stéphane Pfeiffer then presented the new version of the associative project for the period 2022-2026. With a range of services that revolves around three main objectives: facilitating access to economic and professional activity, promoting job creation by supporting the activity of economic actors and recruitment, and initiating new responses to needs of the territory. The MDEE is thus piloting an ecological transition support unit to “supporting small businesses to meet this challenge while developing employment”.
