At the opening of the evening, the leader of the Voronezh provincial noble assembly, Professor Evgeny Barsukov, delivered a welcoming speech. A special place in his speech was occupied by Bunin’s vision of the Russian emigration and its most powerful impulse in the development and spread of the Russian world.

Yuri Yuryevich recalled the words of the apparition about the mournful date of Russian origin and the heroic deed of the soldiers of the White movement: “Gallipoli is part of the true great and sacred that Russia has revealed for these
terrible and shameful years, part of what was and is the only hope for its resurrection and the exceptional justification of the Russian people, their expiation before the judgment of God and humanity.
