Noise development: Police stop drivers because the car is too loud
Officials in the city of Salzburg stopped a car driver yesterday – they noticed that the car was acoustically very loud. After a closer inspection, the driver’s license plates and vehicle documents were removed.
SALZBURG. A police patrol from the Salzburg state traffic department became aware of a sports car with Bulgarian license plates yesterday. The police noticed this because the car was very loud.
Various silencers were rebuilt – not street legal
At the usual freeway parking lot, the officials determine that the rear silencer and the middle silencer have been replaced by a normal pipe. The driver, a 22-year-old Bulgarian citizen, was asked by the police to follow them to the vehicle inspection station.
Excessive noise development – continued driving was prohibited
The expert there carried out a stationary noise measurement – a noise level of almost 100db(A) was measured. The officials temporarily remove the number plate and the registration certificate from the driver of the car on the spot. Furthermore, he was forbidden to continue driving – the driver was reported by the responsible authorities.
