“Web Summit has helped to design Lisbon and Portugal”
Noon the eve of the start of the 7th Edition of the Web Summit, the prime minister, António Costa, underlined that the technological summit “has helped to project Lisbon and Portugal”.
This position of the head of the Government was disclosed on his official Twitter account, where he also expresses the certainty that this year’s edition will be a “success”.
“We have seen, over the years, the growth of the Web Summit and the increase in the participation of Portuguese #startups. We have a culture of entrepreneurship, initiative and innovation in development”, he began by writing.
“Web Summit has helped to project Lisbon and Portugal and this year, with 70 thousand participants, it will once again be a success”, he added, some images of his visit to the secure event venue today.

The Web Summit, which takes place at Parque das Nações, in Lisbon, takes place between the 1st and 4th of November.
