This year, the Halloween weekend rhymed with heavy alcohol consumption for many motorists from Annecy. In the space of three days, the police of the lakeside city have indeed arrested three drunk drivers at the wheel.
Friday, October 28 around 11:30 p.m., a first individual was thus apprehended by the municipal police, rue Louis-Chaumontel, after having hit the sidewalk several times with his car. Aged 51 and from Seynod, he drove with 2.18 grams of alcohol in his blood. After being taken into custody and interviewed, he was released with a penal order. He is due to appear in court on January 11.
The next day, Saturday, October 29 in the early morning, another Seynodien, 46 years old this time, went even harder: spotted avenue Gambetta for excessive speed, he was driving with 2.42 grams of alcohol per liter of blood. He too went through the police station and he too was invited to appear in court on January 11.
Finally, Sunday October 30 around 8 p.m., avenue de la République in Cran-Gevrier, a 37-year-old man who had just crossed a red light was also caught by the patrol. Its rate: 1.94 grams of alcohol per liter of blood. Brought to the station then released, he was taken care of by a third party. He was summoned by the “traffic accidents and offences” brigade on November 7.
